I hope this finds you all doing well so far in 2010! If you made resolutions to start training again in the new year, or are getting ready to step it up a notch for Boston, or just miss the positive atmosphere of group training, I want to let you all know the many exciting training opportunities with teammac.
We’ve really stepped up our program this year and are looking forward to a great year of training and racing!!
1. Join Teammac as a “regular” member. Dues are $80/month. We compete together in road races and relays, and focus on a fall marathon and a spring marathon. You can count on a training program for Boston each year. National Marathon in D.C. is looking good if you are not running beantown this spring, and shoot for NYC or Philadelphia in the fall. Summertime brings us the track meets and faster speedwork. A regular membership gets you 2 speed sessions per week, a long run workout, a day of CORE training with Meg Ayers and a water running workout, can’t beat it!! AND, YOU GET A MONTH COMPLIMENTARY IF YOU BUY 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE!
2. Join teammac with a friend!!! This option is great for two people and costs $100 per month ($50 per person). This option will get you and your friend personal coaching once per week with Coach Mac. You receive running form analysis including video of you running, a daily training plan, goal-setting advice, and many extras from injury prevention and recovery to proper nutrition and supplements. You also have access to teammac CORE workouts with Meg and the water running workout. AND, YOU GET A MONTH COMPLIMENTARY IF YOU BUY 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE!
3. For beginning and intermediate runners, tmLITE will get you two fun speed sessions per week, a long run workout, a day of CORE training with Meg and an aqua jogging workout. These workouts will be tailored to the individual looking for a “lighter” weekly mileage load. Options are available to couples or partners who would like to join at $130/month ($65/pp) Partners do NOT both have to be members of tmLITE, one partner can be “regular” TM and one partner can be on tmLITE. Races and relays will be open to both TM and tmLITE members. AND, YOU GET A MONTH COMPLIMENTARY IF YOU BUY 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE!
4. Hire out Coach Mac for personal running coaching sessions at $30 per hour. You receive running form analysis including video of you running, a daily training plan, goal-setting advice, and many extras from injury prevention and recovery to proper nutrition and supplements. Coach Mac will work with you on proper breathing technique, footstrike, leg turnover and armswing.

You should have a mileage base of about 30 miles per week before joining teammac regular. It can be made up of easy running or some speedwork, as prior speed training is not a requirement to join.

Also, you can attend teammac runners’ CORE training Wednesdays at 6:00 a.m. for $20 per month and teammac water running on Fridays at 6:30 a.m. for $20 per month (check out workouts on website)…
Internet coaching is also available if you cannot attend individual or group training sessions. Contact Coach Mac to set up a time to discuss your goals and fee arrangement for a training plan. You will also receive feedback on the progress of the plan.
